This series of photos was taken by the artist. Entire neighborhoods were destroyed by the 2020 Almeda Fires.

Each home had tens of thousands of keepsakes, school trophies, a favorite dress, a warm winter coat, a cozy thick comforter, holiday ornaments, family heirlooms, a favorite pan for cooking, meals shared at a familiar dinner table, a soft bed with clean sheets, a pleasing view of the garden, family pets and favorite art on the walls - all are destroyed and ceased to exist.

Nearly 3000 homes were lost as people escaped to nearby shelters while their possessions were incinerated.
